"My name is Michelle Grubb, and I am the Chef d' Equipe for the American riders here in Linz, Austria.
"I have more than thirty years of experience of riding and competing internationally as well as training for the Olympic Games for the young riders, American hunters, et cetera.
"I have experienced many many footing over my years in show jumping and I think the ground is beautiful here in Austria.
"We had all kinds of weather. We had lots of rain, we had beautiful sunshine, and we've had very consistent footing and the horses jumped very, very well.
" [garbled] ... for the American horses the footing is excellant, and I would recommend this footing very, very strongly for anyone who is looking for a great, all weather surface."

"My name is Willi Melliger. I am here at the CSIO 4* in Linz, Austria, as the equipe chef of the Swiss National Team.
"I have to state that the footing here is excellent. The horses are jumping real heavy parcour [difficult jump obstacles on the course].
"There are a lot of zeros [zero fault scores]. That is an indicator that the footing is excellent.
"We would be very happy, if we would always have such perfect riding footing to compete on."

"I am the Course Designer on this magnificent riding arena, and I have to say that the horses do jump here very very well.
"The reason is that the footing here is very elastic.
"Yesterday we had a wonderful nations cup, and I think - only if you are able to ride on a perfect footing like this - are the horses able to show their best results."
